About NAMM

Nomura Asset Management Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (“NAMM”) (Company No.: 748695-A) started operations in December 2006 as part of our continued commitment to our Malaysian clients whom we have been servicing since 1994 from outside of Malaysia. With the opening of the Malaysian office, we brought with us our Japanese heritage’s attention to quality for our institutional clients’ investment needs. We have a robust investment process that has seen us perform through periods of booms and bust. We are proud to be the recipient of the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) external fund managers’ awards from 2002 through 2012, and we continue to strive to the deliver the highest of standards to our clients and partners. At present, we count Government Linked Institutions and Insurance Companies amongst our clientele.

We are proud that our homegrown team has bloomed from 3 to 35 with many of us growing with the company since Day 1 in 2006. Starting with Malaysian equities, we now offer Global equities in addition to Malaysian fixed income from our Investment teams based here in Kuala Lumpur. We plan to continue to add in more resources in the very near future in line with our business plans.

Our value proposition:

  • Locally based, locally sourced talent with Global backing
  • Unique Asian perspective from our Japanese Roots
  • Stable and experienced Investment Personnel
  • Team and process driven approach to Investing
  • Culture of Compliance
